With RDS back from holiday, rumors have been swirling around the state that RDS might be indeed attend the first Miami Dolphins playoff game since 2001. RDS retired from going to live games back in 2007. A source close to RDS has indeed confirmed that old RDS will be staying home at the RDS HQ's in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. RDS appreciates all the invites to attend the game, but prefers to stay up in Central/North Florida to watch the game on TV with a few close dolfans at a private party.

   Well old dolfan buddies. It's time for Retired Dolfan Stan to say bon voyage ! Time for RDS holiday that will take me away from fin heaven until 12/22/08. The RDS crew will depart this evening, and we are scheduled to arrive at the Blue Ridge Mountains sometime on Tuesday. in North Carolina. On 12/10 , the RDS crew heads up to Ontario, CANADA until 12/22. Will be checking in from time to time on the RDS laptop, but not posting. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves on this thread while I'm on RDS Holiday. RDS gives early blessings to the dolphins, and the next 3 games.    Great to see some old dolfans at dolphins stadium and visit some buddies and media friends in south florida. Thanks for the club level seats at the game media friends .. i owe you The stadium looks great with all the upgrades since i retired as dolfan stan. It was great to visit south florida once again since my departure in 2007. A few dolfan stan fans had asked me about coming out of retirement ? my answer ?    RETIRED DOLFAN STAN will return to Dolphin Stadium for the first time to watch a football game since his RDS retirement since April of 2007. But this time it will be for the UCF KNIGHTS vs Miami Hurricanes on 10/11. Were going to be there to cheer on UCF. It will be nice to see some old friends at Dolphin Stadium. It's been a while. GO UCF. There will be no RDS Meet & Greets scheduled, but there will be a private RDS party in Fort Lauderdale after the game. Invite ONLY.

   Well dolfans, I'm back from holiday. ALASKA was awesome. Still enjoying my RDS retirement from 2007. Can't believe I haven't been to a Dolphins home or away game since 2006. All is well with me. Planning a few local RDS Meet & Greets, and just spending time with the family in north/central florida. Will be in touch...... RDS

   EXCLUSIVE Retired Dolfan Stan Interview: WHERE ARE THEY NOW. Well it's been just over one year now since the retirement of DOLFAN STAN ? So what is the once dolfan legend doing these days ? White beaches and sunny days, replied RDS. To be honest I love being with my kids and their sport activities. I also enjoy following the FLORIDA MARLINS and UCF sports as well. When I was DOLFAN STAN for 27 years, pretty much my weekends and even some weekdays I didn'have to myself. From April's NFL draft to the Super Bowl in January it was go, go, go , go, replied RDS. Now I can watch a Miami Dolphins game on TV with less stress, and not worrying about being the 12th man in the stands, and the never ending tailgate parties in the hot humid weather in south florida. Even though the dolphins on the field had one of the worst records in franchise history, RDS takes all the games in stride. A fews home games I actually got the itch to come out of RDS retirement and go to a game and start the whole DOLFAN STAN DOLPHIN MANIA all over again. But the wife and kids talked me out of it for the better.... I'm much more at peace with myself knowing the younger generation of dolfan super legends are taking over, says RDS. I enjoy the beaches of the east coast too much now to leave. I call central florida home now. It's always good to run into some old dolfans and talk about some RDS history, and the old days. RDS is no longer involved with the dolphins front office, but thinks THE BIG TUNA ( Bill Parcells ) can turn it around. It will take alot of hard work and effort, but it can be done. For me... RDS... I'm retired now from miami dolphins football and loving it, replied RDS.... SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ya.... back to the beach and GO MARLINS !

   On 12/30/07, Legend Retired Dolfan Stan was honored by his dolfan peers with the Lifetime Miami Dolfan Acheivement Award around Gate H, before the Dolphins host the Bengals for the final game of the season. Retired Dolfan Stan will not be attending as he prefered to spend the holidays with family in Central & North Florida where the once dolfan legend retired to. RETIRED Dolfan Stan has not been back to Dolphin Stadium since announcing his retirement from Dolphin football back in April. STAN is honored that his dolfan peers hold him in such high regard, and Retired Dolfan Stan will donate the award to the Miami Dolphins to put in their shrine along with Dolfan Denny's memorabilia.

   Legend Retired DOLFAN STAN will miss his first home game and opening day in 27 years this Sunday vs the COWBOYS. RETIRED DOLFAN STAN wants all dolfans to continue to support and cheer the the men in aqua & orange even though STAN retired back in April of 2007, and will not be attending any more home games. STAN now resides in CENTRAL FLORIDA and the east coast. Some 5 hours away from Dolphin Stadium. I had a very long run, had an opportunity to meet some wonderful dolfans & players since 1981. It will feel a little surreal not being at DOLPHIN STADIUM anymore tailgating, doing radio broadcasts, etc. I hope the tradition continues with up and coming die hard dolfans such as Big PA PA PUMP, THE MIAMI FINATIC, The FINHEADS, and the most recent dolfan fin-attics.. The 2MICHELLES Everyone has my blessing, and GO PHINS !
